I have been taking Spanish classes with Mely for about 18 months. With kids in Spanish emersion it is important to me to have some knowledge and ability with the Spanish language. I have really felt myself progress in my reading comprehension and conversational language. Mely’s classes are fun and engaging. She also keeps me accountable with weekly homework. I have been working with my Profesora Mely for 6 weeks now and I have progressed so much, to my surprise. Not only is she an excellent teacher, she’s passionate, patient, enthusiastic, easy going, and fosters a practical learning environment. The mark of a great teacher is when the can pull a lesson from anything. She has amazing interpersonal skills so she can meet you where you are, while making you feel comfortable. I was so nervous when I started working with her, but now I am excited about the progress that I have made. If I had to describe her I’d say “she is half teacher and half coach.” If you are considering an online teacher for Spanish this is the one, you don’t have to look any further. I immediately sent a DM to book my Spanish conversation classes. It's been 2.2 months now and I'm very satisfied. I have improved and learned a lot. I am always excited to join the class. Mely is a fun and conscientious teacher. She prepares these colorful worksheets for each class that challenge and engage you to learn. She knew I loved reggaeton so she has designed each of our classes as a conversation surrounding a particular song - sometimes introducing me to some of my new favorites! Wonderful, patient Spanish teacher with practical and informative lessons! I took Mely’s 4-week Spanish intensive program, where I took 3 classes per week or 12 classes in total! A true intensive, where I experienced break-throughs in my intermediate Spanish fluency. Her approach is both immersive and practical. I appreciated the variety of active drills and take home assignments to further develop my fluency. At the end of the 4 weeks, I was amazed with my rapid progress in spoken fluency/comprehension of Spanish. For me, my greatest achievements were finally understanding the past tenses, learning practical uses of the subjunctive, and the purpose of the reflexive verbs. 10/10, I highly recommend Charlemos in Spanish!

This was my first live 1:1 class and Melly couldn’t of made me feel any more comfortable. She was very relatable, practical and nice.
